Meanwhile, the Artist of the Year category has a whopping 10 nominees: Dave, Fred again.., Jade, Lily Allen, Little Simz, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, PinkPantheress, Sam Fender and Self Esteem. The nominations for Song of the Year, are, erm, a bit erratic: obvious contenders like Lola Young’s “Messy”, Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” and Raye’s “Where is my Husband!” are up against Cynthia Erivo for “Defying Gravity”, as well as Calvin Harris and Ed Sheeran. Newcomer Jacob Alon has already taken the Critics Choice Award (past winners include Adele, Florence and the Machine and Jorja Smith). Bonne chance to all.
