The Best-Dressed Celebrities At The 2026 Sundance Film Festival
Perhaps because she was also the person with the most the most photocalls to attend – and therefore packed a look for each one – the best-dressed person at the 2026 edition of Sundance Film Festival has been Charli XCX. The musician arrived in Utah in recent days to reintroduce herself as a cinema darling, debuting her self-referential mockumentary, The Moment, and a couple of other movies in which she stars, including The Gallerist and I Want Your Sex. She wore R and M’s leather micro shorts with her Bomme Studio merch puffers, Saint Laurent suits with oversized fur coats trailing in her wake, and, on one occasion, a transparent Simon Carle babydoll dress.
Part of it is that Sundance is not Venice or Cannes, and it has never pretended to be, which means there is a culture of stepping outside of the stuffier norms of a chin-strokey arts festival. “The vibe is casual, practical and weather-appropriate,” said British Vogue’s roving reporter (and now bonafide actress) Tish Weinstock. “Literally no one dresses up.” Take Alexander Skarsgård, who turned up to the premiere of The Moment in a Valentino trench and Rockstud flip-flops. (Who’d have thought the most shocking thing a famous person could do is not to arrive on a red carpet with a muzzled pup, but rather wearing studded sandals.) Perhaps we were too eager to write off Miranda’s heels in the Devil Wears Prada reboot, after all.
